I think you are chosen

                                         Stars hover over
your shake roof,
an uninsurable fire hazard
                                         where flame wanders

                                         on wind at whim.
The dumbed-down science magazine

I read religiously says
                                         I’ll meet 2.4 people like you

                                         in my lifetime, though 1.1
will squander their moment.
