Juan Felipe Herrera

Winner of many national fellowships and awards including the Guggenheim Fellowship, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the PEN/Beyond Margins Award, Juan Felipe Herrera has written over thirty books of poetry, nonfiction, and young adult literature. His new book, Portraits of Hispanic American Heroes, won the Association for Library Service to Children’s Pura Belpré Honors Award. He recently served as California Poet Laureate and lives in Fresno, with his partner, poet Margarita Robles.
