Interns gain exposure to the world of magazine publishing by assisting with fact checking, proofreading, submissions evaluation, web and newsletter production, and other engagement and administrative tasks.

Interns are paid and work in-person at our offices in Cambridge, MA. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required; currently enrolled students are not eligible unless they will graduate before the program begins.

Application deadlines are as follows:

  • Fall term (September through December): August 1
  • Spring term (January through May): November 1

Our summer fellowship program is designed to prepare the next generation of editors with several weeks of intensive training in all aspects of the editorial process.

Fellows are paid and work full-time in our offices in Cambridge, MA. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required; currently enrolled students are not eligible unless they will graduate before the program begins. The program runs from early June to late August.
