Katherine Singer Kovacs (1946–1989) was a professor of literature and film studies and editor of The Quarterly Review of Film and Video. She published extensively on French and Spanish literature, as well as Spanish-language film. An annual prize is offered in her name for outstanding books in the field of Latin American and Spanish literatures and cultures.
