Leith Mullings

Leith Mullings an anthropologist who writes about the black freedom struggle. She taught at the Graduate Center, CUNY and was president of the American Anthropological Association 2011-2013. Her most recent article “Neoliberal Racism and the Movement for Black Lives in the US” (2020, Black and Indigenous Resistance in the Americas, Juliet Hooker, ed. Lexington Books, Latham, MD) is part of a seven country study of racism and resistance. She is also a member of the Coordinating Committee of Scholars for Social Justice.
